Well today is Sunday and I am working on the policies and procedures for Arcadia House (our alcohol and drug detox centre in Canberra) so they can be sent to government for a review!
It is an awesome day, sunny and quite warm and DH made me scrambled eggs for breaky. I have watered the courtyard and the pot plants and everything is looking pretty happy despite the heat. I was thinking this mornign that it will only be a few more weeks to Autumn and cooler weather....... yipee (I hate the heat). However the wedding is just 7 weeks away.... and I have so much to do....bridesmaid dresses to make, flowers to arrange and wedding cake to ice.....
Yesterday Jessica and Heidi canme over and they completed the invitations and I sewed Heidi's bridesmaids dress.....I still have some altering to do but all in all it went really well - though I did have a mishap with a little white wine ..... I should not drink and drive (a sewing machine). I am not telling the bride though.....I am doing a stain removal test at the moment and hopefully all will work out fine with a rinse in some water and a touch of detergent and I won't have to admit I was carrying the dress and the wine at the same time.
The kids, Matt 24 and Jess 26, and their partners Heidi and Jason, will be in for dinner tonight. It is always a fun night and great to catch up on everyone's news.
I better get to work on the policies and procedures, I have checked out my fav websites, resisted the urge to look at some blogs and all in all I have procrastinated enough!
