Success!!!

This weekend has been very successful...... in a tiring sort of a way.

My weekend was full of sewing bridesmaids dresses (2) both of which had to be altered somewhat - why do patterns never seem to fit anyone???? Anyway the dresses are what I would call cranberry coloured in satin back shantung. They are a halter neck design, very simple, and down to the floor. And they look amazing

After pinning, sewing, altering and lining then altering again I am pretty much exhausted - but they do look spectacular - especially for someone who hasn't sewed in 12 years (!!)

Then I also iced the wedding cake.....we have to assemble the two cakes, one on the other and put on the decorations but, the cakes are iced - which is the hardest bit!

Flowers - done
Dresses sewn - done
Cake Iced - done

5 weeks to go and counting, then I am off to Melbourne to recuperate for a week adn a well earned rest.

I have to go back to work tomorrow..... for another week - but I think, apart form little bits and pieces, the big stuff I had to do is completed!

I think I might work tomorrow morning and then come home and work from home in the afternoon..... That is the plan anyway.
