It has been some day today - stormy and fine, alternating between the both. I am home after a very long but quite successful day......We have lots of feathered friends visit our garden and make use of the bird bath and the bird feeders. We love watching their high jinks as they climb down on the feeders or come up ont he balcony and look as us until we feed them
We have maggies (magpies), currawongs,
gang gangs, king parrots, cockies (cockatoos) , galahs, double barred finches, silver eyes, eastern rosellas, crimson rosellas, and native pigeons. They give us a lot of joy.
Yesterday I visited Kirketon Road Centre in Sydney which is very similar to the sort of place I want to set up in Canberra. A holistic clinic which is mindful of people rather than a clinical model. It was enlightening and exciting and gives us hope for the future to
provide our clients the service they need in a respectful and confidential manner. I was tired though when I got home at 11.30pm.
There are heaps of storms going through Sydney and lots of people have roof damage. Some people were hit by storms 2 weeks ago and with tarps already on their roof they got hit again and it did enormous damage. We are now starting to break the drought....although the water catchment is still under 50%.
Matt has paid for his travel overseas with Nick and they are busy planning the intracies. London, Europe 3 weeks and then back to London for 7 weeks in total - what a wonderful holiday and an exciting adventure. Matt and Nick will be staying with Doug and Julie in Dubai on the first leg of their journey.
I am taking Mum out to buy her dress for the wedding tomorrow. I hope that she has a lovely day we will try and eat at somewhere nice. It has been a bit tough lately for her and a new outfit that will be just lovely..... isn't that what a girl needs?
Jess and I will do the flowers on Sunday for the wedding and I have a bit to do on Heidi's dress then I will start on Anush's dress. It really is a busy time for all concerned. The invites are out and now we wait for a reply for the RSVPs.
I am looking forward to the weekend and a bit of a break. A sleep in and perhaps a little scrapping!
There are three things that money can't buy.... love, compassion and a sweet nights sleep.
Till next time
Carol
