Weekend Catchup

It seems I tend to blog on the weekend and not so much during the week....so I am definitely keeping up with the tradition this weekend.

This past week was awesome workwise (even though I was suffering with a cold) with the funding now aproved and Maysoon Group for young Mums gaining funding things are certainly flying at work. My beautiful receptionist Robbie is going to be my PA Mondays and Tuesdays to support me before my brain bursts - which will be really helpful, and probably well and truly overdue!

Last weekend the girls come over on Sunday for lunch - what a hoot! We drank too much, ate too much and had a great time. We also said we must do it more often..... it was terrific fun. We have been through so much together these friends of mine, divorce, marriage, kids, work things, tears and joys. Times of lows and times of triumphs. Women seem to link in to each others lives and are a constant thread in life. So to my gorgeous friends Liisa, Brenda, Di and Bec - I love you all so much!!

Phil and I are moving things out of Watson - or rather he does most of the work during the week and I help on the weekends I guess. Lots of the bits and pieces that make here (Mawson) a home have been holidaying at his place to make it look more homely and help it sell - they have come back here today. We would really like Tarago to sell - but it probably won't until after Winter now...... someone will by it eventually I guess, hopefully before the wind farm gets there.

Pottery is going great..... I am enjoying throwing bigger things lately and have a casserole and tagine now drying and waiting to be fired. I can't wait til I get my studio though...... to be able to do everything in my own time will be terrific. I look forward to having my own creative pottery space.

Matt (DS) is in Copenhagan at the moment and has finally blogged again...... he is having such a great time he doesn't have much time to blog (which is great - but occaisionally I email him for an update to ensure he is okay - my mother moment). Matt gets back at the beginning of July - and it will be great to see the photos and hear about the trip first hand.

Jess and Jason are doing well. Jess seems to like her new position better and will be in the swing of things next week. I love having them over and catching up with the goss. Sunday nights is always fun!

Mum and Dad are doing okay, especially after Mum had a bit of a tumble the other day and skinned her arm. They have planted pansies in the 4 pots on the balcony which looks cheery and feed the crimson rosellas which have found the bird seed in a big way that is for sure. They are very comfortable in Calvary and apart from some health issues, are enjoying life, they have made good friends and enjoy the companionship.

I am off to a conference - the Addicition Summit - in beautiful Melbourne in July. It should be great and I am looking forward to catching up in person with the gorgeous Relsi and go for a little shopping at Kaiser Craft in Geelong. What fun!. I also hope to catch up with my Godmother Gerry and her husband Brian this time. I also have other friends in Melbourne but if I saw everyone I would have ot stay a week - so I catch up with everyone every few years - that seems as though it is the best I can do!

I am having a rather quiet weekend I must admit, I am still getting over my cold and a bot of R&R is just the ticket, a bit of washing, a bit of computer stuff and some Thai Green Curry for dinner and a nice glass of chardy....... perfect.

We are off to Mavis and Kens place tomorrow to celebrate the winter soliste tomorrow, I asked if we needed to dress up in long capes and dance around a fire but thankfully not! Mavis always puts on a great spread and I am getting to know the family better so I chat with the girls...... and coo a bit over the little ones.

Time is precious, waste no time on worrying about things you can't change, because that time could be spent on something that makes a change.

Have a great week ..... take care

Carol

G'day Carol,
How are you, I hope you are getting over your cold. There are a lot of bugs going around at the moment. Lovely cards.
