Trying to keep up..... and not winning

I am diligently trying to keep up with my blogging and have so let things slip lately! So I am here on Monday night (Easter Monday) doing my thing here for a while.....

Life is busy but great and I have just been to a pampering weekend with my DD Jessica at Hopewood. I have had a massage, body wrap and facial, walked heaps, eaten great food and learned new things about meditation, stress and aromatherapy..... so I have done well.

Jessica and I read lots and also watched two movies as well - so that was great.... I just needed a break and I got that which is terrific.... thinking I might do this every year for a week - sounds good to me I think!

And true to form I have now got an electric aroma therapy burner and oils to make the house swell great but also be uplifting..... Jessica always says I get carried away (I know that is true)

Phil has been to the National Folk Festival and bought me some gorgeous hand cream for my 'potters hands' which is lovely. It smells divine. Phil didn't come back with an accordion or bagpipes so I am happy - he did buy a CD from a new group he likes though.

This is the gorgeous gum tree called Summer Beauty - it is a species of 'ficofolia' and it is just awesome where the winters aren't too cold and there is enought rain ....
this was in our trip to Millross - isn't it gorgeous!

I suppose one of the big news items in our lives at the moment is that we won't be building a house at Scribbly Gums.... this is a bit sad (but not as desperately sad as it was 6 weeks ago!!) The property is just too far out for Phil's comfort and probably not what we need at this time of our lives.

We will be looking for somewhere smaller, closer, with a house already on the block for us to live in..... I have come to terms with it - I feel heard (thanks to the wonderful Peter Fox for helping with that) and I am happily moving on..... I am pretty resilient after all!)

In the meantime we will be putting the sheds on the property - this will help with the selling of it and we are looking to stay out there for some weekends and enjoy the place. I am thankfully okay and feel pretty calm about it. I can assure you it was rough there for a while.

Love the colours of this photo and the beautiful Cosmo Cricket paper....
view isn't bad either

Matthew has moved into his new apartment and is now looking for someone to share it with. It is great - new, well designed and convenient!

Hai Pei has flown into Canberra today after 2 weeks with her parents in China - I will be interested to hear what she thinks about it!

Got a soft spot for horses especially foals
This one was really just too cute!

Apart form that all is well here - I feel relaxed and happy...... ready for a couple of weeks work and then off to beautiful Cairns with Kristin to scrap with and then 4 days with my gorgeous man to travel and be with in a Rainforest Retreat - couldn't really ask for more now - could I???

Love
C
