The best news is that I have lost 12 kgs ..... so hence my new photo. Gaining weight is so easy, losing it so hard - one of life's little conundrums I suspect. I have taken in my clothes and buying incentives (bling) for this journey. I am loving the fact that others have joined me on this journey and we are supporting each other..... in fact I am sure that it would be easy to give up except that there are lots of girls encouraging each other to keep going. This year alone so far we have lost 72.8kgs from January to 31st March - 3 months - that is just wonderful
Jess and Jason have been away for their first wedding anniversary to beautiful Tasmania. They did it by motorbike and loved it. I am so pleased that they went away and enjoyed a different place. They had a great time..... and the bike behaved very well.
Matt has moved into a new apartment this last weekend and we helped do the garden for him so he would pass the inspection for the place in Swinger Hill. He liked it there but with Joe gone it was proving to be too costly and he found it hard to get anyone to live in it with him....too small for two. Anyways his new place is great - and like a good scrapper I have photos!
Hai Pei is over in China with her parents at the moment. Looking forward to coming home by all accounts! She will be home on Easter Monday.
It is folk festival time once again and Phil is excited at the possibility. He loves it and goes when he can. We missed it last year as Jess and Jason had other plans that weekend but this year he has a 4 day ticket.
I am not a 'folkie' so I am taking Jess to Hopewood for a weekend of pampering, body wraps and massages. Unfortunately there is no wine or tea and coffee allowed Jess is looking for ways of smuggling it in!!........... it sounds wonderful and I am hoping that it will be lovely and restful.
The concreting should be done at Scribbly Gums this week and then the sheds built in a week or two after that - I am looking forward to staying out there over the weekends. How great will that be??
I have been scrapping madly lately and now I have Kristin and Jenny to scrap with it is so nice! Kristin and I are off to beautiful Cairns at the end of the month for lots of scrapping and then Jenny and I are going to Sydney with the LSBS girls. Oooooo it will be great to catch up with everyone again. My flights are booked.... I am excited.
The other thing I have been into lately is mixed media which I am loving. Or as Helen would say........ loving it sick!! I have done a lot of bits and pieces and am looking forward to doing a large canvas soon. I want to do more lessons and hopefully the ANU will offer them next year. I did lessons with Rebecca Vavic (ReVa) which were great but I am looking at doing lots of new things in this different world.
Pottery is going well and I am doing a range called 'Simply Gourdeous' .... they have to be seen to be believed. They are now through their first firing and onto glazing - now to find the time!!
I have scrapped a few things so here are some bits and pieces I like!
From the get together at the beginning of March at MillrossKangaroo Valley
