Welcome to our new home - Scribbly Gums

Hi there everyone we have a new home site - Scribbly Gums - it is 100 acres of natural gum forest in Lower Boro and we (especially me) are so delighted I am finding it hard to concentrate!!!!

So instead of being really painful here are the details:
100 acreas of gum forest - especially scribbly gums which I love....mmmmm a pottery line called "Scribbly Gums' is coming to mind as I do this......
3 dams
Lots and lots of wildlife
Sites for studios, sheds and a wonderful home - my imagination is going a bit wild
And a site for a guest house so friends and family can vist

So here are the photos.....

This is the driveway into the property most of the trees are scribbly gums .....

Main drive into the property

This is just like a parkland and there is a far amount of fallen timber that we will be able to have wood fires for ambience and kilns - we have so much

The cleared area near where we might put the vege patch -
the yellow ford,
which is used by the owner of the property (to look around),
and his son (to do wheelies on the grass)
will be removed before we take full ownership

A bit more of the cleared areas - with black wattle and gums

The 3rd dam near where the vege garden and house will be located.....
a few wombat burrows in the side... it is the lowest of the three dams on Scribbly Gums

The property is 90% wooded and just lovely!

We thought this was great - a wombat burrow in a termites nest....
warm in winter, cool in summer ....... clever wombat!

So today we have cleared some of the ivy in Phils place in Watson which should go on the market in a few weeks.....

Jessica, Jason and Matt are all in Nowra at a party tonight ....

Phil and I are having a glass of something - me Chardy - Phil Coopers and celebrating that our offer for Scribbly Gums has been accepted and then will do something about dinner!

Dad is recuperating from his pacemaker operation and is fine today apart from a nasty laceration on his forearm which I dressed today. Mum is wonderful too and I am going to take her shopping in a couple of weeks with the fantastic plastic to buy some winter clothes.....

I am so excited with our new property I will be boring now if I continue.....

Aussie bush
Aussie rain
Aussie smells
Nothing is the same
....but Paradise

love you all..... Carol
