Sunday and everything is groovy!

Well it is Sunday and I have had a pretty full on week at work after my break. I took Friday off as I do every fortnight and that is just as well becasue I worked on Saturday - actually I participated in the Canberra 2020 Summit with 300 other people. I thought there would be opportunity to speak about current issues in particular relating to those with alcohol and other drug issues but it was much more strategic than that as we identified what we wanted Canberra to look like in 2020. Anyway this will go to inform the Australia 2020 Summit in a few weeks time. The main issues were sustainability, creative futures, health, safety, community inclusion and indigenous issues...... hopefully a worthwhile discussion.....

Also we have been looking into other rural properties to settle on and we found a good one in Collector about 55 mins away from Canberra. It has a Yurt on it, rests on 100 acres and is nicely wooded. There is a 6 car shed for studios and it overlooks a lovely valley area. Phil went out to see it yesterday and I hope to see it next weekend. Phil said that he would be happy on the property or in the area - so that is encouraging. We will also get a valuation on the Tarago place as we really have no idea what it is worth.

The honeymooners have returned after a lovely holiday and they look relaxed and happy. Jessica and Jason had a great time with lots of new scenery and particularly liked Halls Gap. Unfortunately they had a bit of rain on the trip, in a car it is annoying on a motorbike in is downright miserable. However they enjoyed the views and Jason worked his new SLR so they have great pics.

When Jess and Jason returned home they popped over on Friday and showed us their photos. I was able to give them an album which I have put together of the wedding to show people. It may be sometime until they can get the money together for the disk of the photographer - so in the meantime this will suffice.

Matt is busy buying things for his trip - it will be upon us sooner that we realise. Just 6 weeks to go. He purchased some Rockport walking shoes the other day and was a but surprised by the price - but they will make a difference to his comfort as he will need to do a fair amount of walking on pavement. Now he is thinkning about a camera I believe - and an ipod...... He will also produce a blog - which will be great - it will keep us in touch with what he is doing!

Mum and Dad are well - Dad is going in to hospital to have a pacemaker fitted - which will help his tiredness. And he is off the medication which was helping his heart, but making him dizzy. The had a wonderful time with Ross, Sonya and Riley up for the wedding..... I will pop in on Wednesday to see how they are.

The other thing I have done is to make some mini albums for the bridal attendants - Hamish, Anush and Heidi. So I thought you might like to see them. I made three and they are all different - I have great individual photos for all of them, plus Hamish's is more simple than the girls - no flowers and bling - more rubons and matting of the photos. These are Kaiser craftwood albums, papers, rubons, bling and flowers and they work really well! Plus they are great value!

Hamish - Bride's Dude cover - all album covers are pretty much the same

Anush's Album - inside first page - love the pic of Anush and white rubon

Anush's album - 4th page - flowers with shell buttons, organza ribbon

2 Albums - love this paper - Kaiserscrapbook - 'to have and to hold' range

Anush's Album - love that pic of Hamish - it is so him!
On the right is a photo of the procession through the gate at Nara Park

Detail of the cake and accessory page - each one is different this is Anush's
The scan is a bit pink - it doesn't do it justice

Hamish, Anush and Jessica went to school together and these are other school friends
from the left - Chris, Annie, Pete, Jess and Jason and Dave (Lucas)
I also love the photo on the right with the bridal party peeking around the tree

Heidi's album at the back and Anush's at the front

The last pages of Hamish's album - I thought he would like these photos.....
Hamish is in the right photo 3rd from the right

I am looking forward to the kids coming around for dinner tonight and catching up on all the news. Until next time - keep safe and happy.

Life is short - eat chocolate!!

Love Carol
