here we are after such hot weather

Well It seems so long since I posted and I am feeling just a touch guilty.... However it has been so hot here - up to 40 degrees that I have just been doing what is necessary to survive the heat!!!

The fires have been devastating for Victoria..... 130 lives lost and 750 houses destroyed....

We sometimes forget that the animals are suffering too

DS and his girlfriend are in Thailand as I write this and I hope they have a great holiday....they are hoping for a quiet and peaceful break and are not planning to do much - just chill!

DD and I are off to a health spa at Easter while Phil does his Folk Festival thing which he loves. The spa looks wonderful - but you do have to get used to no tea, coffee or alcohol - the coffee for Jess is proving to be an issue - so she is going to bring some in secretly she says..... I can do without my tea I think as I only have one a day at any rate.

I have been on a weight loss program for many weeks now and am now almost 8 kgs down. That is great and while I have a fair bit to go - I am motivated, walking and losing every week - so I can't complain.

Phil is waiting for paperwork to arrive regarding building at Scribbly Gums - and he sometimes gets a bit perturbed about it - however in this heat there is no need to hurry - a tin structure and 40 degree heat is not the best combination I can think of..... It will happen int he next month or two - just in time for Autums..... and I can't wait for that .... warm weather, cool nights and staying our on the property - sounds very cool I think!
