Saying hi on Saturday

Well here we are on Saturday and I feel that we are finally in Spring. The days are warmer and I am even in a T shirt as I type this - unheard of a week ago.

Today we went out to Scribbly Gums and had a great time. Last week I bought three kanagroo paws...a green, a bright pink and a white one. They looked so great that I had to buy them for $9.50 each. Well we have a little kangaroo paw patch outside the front gate at Scribbly Gums and we added them there! It was rather funny though - a womabt has christened the log where the kangaroo paws are just to show us who really owns the land!

Phil and I bought 2 waterlilies and we (read he and I managed the situation) planted them in the dam. As we are not having stock we thought we might as well make it a feature. Phil stripped off and in he went into the 'loathsome mud' as he called it. Anyway we will see how the waterlilies go - Mum and Dad bought them for his birthday.

We have looked at the land to see where would be best for the sheds, house, vege patch and the studios. We have a better idea each time we visit. And it was also great to see red tailed black cockatoos there today...... so awesome.

Phil has a great surprise coming for his birthday - but I have to keep it a secret for another week because he might read it here..... so I will post a photo or two when I can, once he opens it.....it should be great! Talking of birthdays ....Jason (Jess's DH) is 30 this weekend. Fantastic - I need to talk to Jess about his gift.....I'll keep you posted.

The other great news is that we are all booked for the trip to Tasmania in November.... We are staying in the most amazing places - old places (as in Colonial), a retreat, an eco village, a resort and little B&Bs all over the place. Our plan trip is booked and paid for, as is the car and accommodation. In October for our wedding anniversary (3 years) we are off to Eden..... we must also book the trip to see the whales...... better do that!

I have been scrapping again and here are a few layouts that I have posted onto the competition site for the LSBS Cyber Crop.

Doesn't time fly - first they are babies and then they are
grown people with their own ideas and lives.
My children make me so proud.
Just in case you need to know who is here:
Phil (DH), me, Matt (DS), Ken (Matts Dad), Heidi (Matt's previous gilfriend)

This little guy changed our lives in so many ways and he was
so much fun, as well as naughty and mischievous.
He loved us all and our lives are richer for his part in them for 12 years.

I don't usually do collages but here is one I did for a challenge.
Not sure it is me, but it was a bit of fun.....

Well it is time to do more 'stuff' thanks for popping in......

Love
Carol
