Layouts form the ST retreat

The Girls
Here we are - the ST Retreat6 - what fun we had
I completed probably 25 LOs and a mini album. I so enjoyed scrapping for other people too - it is a real delight to scrap other peoples photos and push the ideas and boundaries. So for those who let me scrap your photos thanks so much - Mandy, Kim, Sonya, Leanne

Finally I am sharing these LOs - been so busy with my Dad this week that I haven't had time to photograph and upload so here we go.....

Jessica was given an old album from her Dad and it had photos of the family which I had long since forgotten...... he was clearing out his life - which means throwing away old stuff I guess. I don't mind at all - because at least these didn't end in the bottom of a trash heap! He threw out so many photos - I am glad he had the for thought to give these to Jess.

Busy
I love this photo of Matt on his 2nd birthday ( with Jess 4 and Kate 18mths in the background) He was such a busy kid, loved being outside and always n the go...this is so him
I remember making him a train cake which he loved

And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda
This was my take on Mandy's challenge for the retreat
As kids we often ended up on ANZAC Day marches around Victoria (notice Glenn's medals)
This was at the Shrine of Remembrance (and I am wearing my 'not favourite' dress and shoes)

Adore
This layout is when Matt was about 4 months and I was a young 26!
Love that white grow suit, he was such a gorgeous baby

Our Toys
Remembering My Child dolls (Lucy) and Pound Puppies (Freckles)
The must have toys of the 80's
This is Lisa's class layout

Waiting
I was about 21 and here I am on a picnic and waiting for the yacht to come and pick me up for a sail. My brothers were much more sailor orientated - I was working as a nurse and had just got engaged. Life was starting but occasionally I got roped into the water to sail.
Another of Lisa's LOs

Laugh
This is taken in the playground next to where we lived in Kambah. Jess was in her uniform and Matt had been at Kindy, Morgan (cousin) was visiting from NZ
It had been pouring with rain so gumboots were required!
Love this page and brings back so many memories

Live for Today
It is hard seeing someone you love fade away - at least that is what I feel about my Mum. I guess that is why I scrap her at bit at the moment - It is sorting out my grief of loss of our relationship. I remember her vitality, her determination and they way she coped with life (and my father - heaven knows that certainly wasn't easy)
This pic is before my graduation as a nurse - Mum with her sherry as a starter.

Hugs
Jo was a part of our life for our early married years (previous marriage). The relationship has been quite spasmodic over the years, it comes and goes. Here is Jo and Ken (ex DH) in our sitting room at Torrens where we first rented after we were married.
Ken has an afro and it wasn't natural....LOL memories

Coffee
Relaxing with a cuppa - a lovely old photo of Mum in the 80s
I am really not sure where this is taken but probably at our rented flat 1980 in Torrens

Hothouse Flowers
Taken in Auckland in a wonderful turn of the century hothouse - gorgeous foxgloves and snapdragons were taller than me.

Bake Off - What is a Good Wife?
This is really tongue in cheek. I wanted to do this LO because what I thought of a good wife was a little (or a lot) affected by my mothers interpretation of the 1960's ideal. I have tried not to put this onto my kids as it was pretty unobtainable and doomed pretty much to failure!
My ideas now do not marry with the idea I had at 21 - thankfully.
It is good to have grown up!

Thanks for sharing these memories of my life
Lots of love
Carol
